
Spartans Compete at ITA Regionals

Chapel Hill, N.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team sent two players to the ITA Carolinas Regional hosted by North Carolina at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center this past weekend.
Filippa Ericson and Vale Zarama dropped their doubles match to Samantha Armas and Megan Scholvinck (Davidson) 8-3.
Zarama lost to Maria Paraja (Elon) 6-2, 6-1 in the singles qualifier on Thursday. On Friday, Ericson was defeated by Carolina Dailey (South Carolina) 6-0, 6-0 in round one of the main draw singles bracket. In the consolation bracket, Rebecca Morse (Appalachian State) was a 6-4, 6-0 winner over Ericson.
Upstate concludes its fall season at the Furman Duals on Nov. 4-5.
