Women's Tennis Opens Atlantic Sun Play against Stetson, North Florida

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team kicks off the A-Sun portion of its schedule this week as the Spartans host Stetson on Thursday at 2 p.m. and North Florida at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Upstate hasn't played since March 11 as rain postponed a home match against Presbyterian on March 14 and a road match this past Saturday at Charlotte. The Spartans are 0-13 but have only played one match at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex this season.
The doubles team of Filippa Ericson and Anna Zoske is 5-3 at the top doubles position while Carol Sigaki and Vale Zarama have claimed four doubles matches this year.
Stetson enters Thursday's match with a 4-8 record following a 4-1 setback at the hands of Middle Tennessee State last Friday. The Hatters lead the all-time series 5-3 with Upstate's last win coming during the 2013 season.
North Florida begins conference play with a 5-5 mark after a 7-0 win over Southern Illinois last Friday. North Florida holds a 15-2 advantage over the Spartans all-time.
The Spartans host Presbyterian in a non-conference match Tuesday at 3 p.m.
