
Upstate Travels to Florida this Week for Seminole State Spring Break Classic

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's golf team returns to the state of Florida this week as it is set to compete in the Seminole State Spring Break Classic from Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Lake Mary, Fla.
Upstate is one of eight teams taking part in the Seminole State Spring Break Classic along with host Seminole State College of Florida, Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, Gardner-Webb, Southeastern, UIC and Wayne State.
The two-day event will consist of 18 holes each on Tuesday and Wednesday at the par-72, 6,152-yard Timacuan Golf and Country Club.
The Spartans are back on the course for the second time in over a week after finishing 36th at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic in Kiawah Island, S.C. Upstate carded its lowest score of the spring during the final round on Mar. 1 with a 318 and finished the tournament with a total score of 978. Allie Gennaula posted the lowest round of her career with a 79 on the last day, while Payton Culler had the top individual finish for the Spartans with a three-round 242.
Upstate will head to Hilton Head, S.C. Mar. 19-20 for the Low Country Intercollegiate at Moss Creek Golf Club.
