
Women's Tennis Travels to NJIT for Regular Season Finale

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will close out the 2016 regular season on Saturday as the Spartans travel to NJIT for a 2 p.m. match at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.
Upstate is 0-20 and 0-5 in the Atlantic Sun following a 6-1 home loss to Elon on Thursday. The Spartans won the doubles point thanks to a win at number one doubles by Anna Zoske and Filippa Ericson. The duo of Carol Sigaki and Vale Zarama clinched the doubles point for Upstate after a 6-3 win at number two doubles.
NJIT is 4-14 and 0-5 in league play following a 6-1 loss at Lipscomb last Saturday. This is the first meeting between Upstate and NJIT.
The winner of Saturday's match will be the No. 6 seed in the Atlantic Sun Championship next week, which will be held at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
