
Spartans Face Lipscomb, Kennesaw State in A-Sun Matches

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team continues Atlantic Sun play this week with a pair of morning matches. The Spartans travel to Lipscomb on Thursday for an 11 a.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Central Time match at the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center before hosting Kennesaw State on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
Upstate is 0-17 overall and 0-3 in Atlantic Sun play following a 7-0 loss at Florida Gulf Coast last Saturday.
Lipscomb enters tomorrow's match with a 10-6 overall record and 0-3 league slate. Both Upstate and Lipscomb have lost conference matches against Florida Gulf Coast, North Florida and Stetson. Upstate leads the all-time series 5-3.
Upstate will play its fifth home match of the 2016 campaign on Saturday against Kennesaw State. The Owls are 1-15 overall and 0-3 in league play prior to facing NJIT tomorrow. Kennesaw State holds a 5-3 lead in the all-time series. Anna Zoske will be honored during the match as part of Senior Day festivities.
The Spartans host Elon on Thursday at 2 p.m. in their final home match of the 2016 season.
