
Women's Tennis Hosts USC Upstate Fall Classic This Weekend

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will host the 2016 USC Upstate Fall Classic this weekend at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
Armstrong Atlantic, Campbell, UT-Chattanooga, Gardner-Webb, Furman, Presbyterian, Queens, Western Carolina and Wofford complete the 10-team field.
Doubles play is scheduled to begin Friday at 11 a.m. followed by singles action at 12 p.m.
Ruby Kubac and Eduarda Ferreira will face Marta Gonzalez of Queens and Nina Asanin of Campbell in the White Singles draw. In the Grey Singles draw, Anna Nemeth will face Campbell's Alexandra Nicoara while Vale Zarama begins singles competition against Wofford's Lauren Reid.
Morgan Dodd will face Huda McGraw of Campbell in her opening match with Carol Sigaki facing Isabel Boada of Campbell in the Black Singles draw. Sigaki was the winner of her singles flight at the WNC Mountain Challenge a week ago. Sarah Parker will face Caroline Nielson of Queens and Taylor Dodd opens the weekend against Hannah Lehfeldt of Queens in the Green Singles Draw. Dodd won her singles flight last weekend at the WNC Mountain Challenge.
Zarama and Sigaki are paired together in the Green Doubles draw and will open against Marta Gonzalez and Melissa Laing of Queens. The Upstate duo claimed their doubles flight last weekend. Kubac and Nemeth will face the combined paring of Chattanooga's Mckenzie Barco and Campbell's McGraw. Parker and Taylor Dodd are paired together in the Black Doubles bracket and will face Laine Parker and Claire Chase of Gardner-Webb. Ferreira and Morgan Dodd face Catherine Martin and Lauren Reid of Wofford.
