
Paksanont Earns ASUN Women's Golfer of the Week Honors

LakePoint, Ga. – USC Upstate sophomore Pan Paksanont was recognized by the ASUN Conference on Thursday afternoon as the Women's Golfer of the Week following her performance earlier this week at the FAU Fall Invitational in Boca Raton, Fla.
A native of Nonthaburi, Thailand, Paksanont earns her first career ASUN Women's Golfer of the Week award after recording her second consecutive top-5 performance at the FAU Fall Invitational, finishing tied for fifth place after shooting 5-under par 139. She opened tournament play with a school record, as well as career-low round, 67 which surpassed the old mark of 69 set by Rachel Lewis on Sept. 18, 2010. Paksanont followed with a second round 72 to finish at 139 for the tournament.
She was the top individual performer for Upstate in par 3 scoring (-2, 2.80 stroke average), par 4 scoring (-2, 3.88 stroke average), par 5 scoring (-1, 4.90 stroke average) and birdies (8). Paksanont also finished the tournament with 25 pars.
Paksanont is the third Spartan women's golfer in program history to ASUN Golfer of the Week honors and first since Rachel Reiling during the 2014-15 season.
