
Women's Tennis Concludes Fall Schedule at Furman Duals

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will conclude its fall season this Friday and Saturday at the Furman Duals in Greenville.
The two-day tournament will take place at the Mickel Tennis Center. This is the sixth tournament that the Spartans will take part in during the fall season.
At the Wofford Invitational last weekend, Noelia Acuna and Taylor Dodd advanced to the finals in their respective singles brackets. Dodd defeated Virginia Tech's Fallon Delp 6-1, 6-4 and Emory's Emma Perelman 6-3, 6-1. Acuna beat Sofia Shut'ko of Savannah State 6-4, 6-2 and Alexa Webb of Western Carolina 7-5, 6-3. Vale Zarama and Sarah Parker finished in third place in their consolation singles brackets while Acuna and Carol Sigaki teamed up to claim a doubles consolation bracket win.
Upstate opens the spring season on Saturday, Jan. 20 against Wofford at 1 p.m.
