Spartans Open ASUN Play at Kennesaw State

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will look for its second consecutive win on Wednesday morning as the Spartans open ASUN Conference play against Kennesaw State. First serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Betty Siegel Courts.
Upstate is 2-13 thanks to a 4-3 win against UNCG on Saturday. Upstate trailed 3-2 but received third set wins from Carol Sigaki and Filippa Ericson to claim the match. Ericson has won her last four singles matches while the doubles pairing of Carol Sigaki and Vale Zarama also has four straight wins.
Kennesaw State is 4-7 following a 4-3 home victory over Western Carolina on Saturday. In addition to Western Carolina, Kennesaw State has wins against Jacksonville State, Detroit and Alabama A&M. The Owls lead the all-time series 6-3 following a 6-1 win in Spartanburg last year.
