
Women's Tennis Concludes Roadtrip against South Alabama

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team will complete a three-match roadtrip through Alabama on Wednesday as the Spartans take on South Alabama at 3 p.m. Eastern.
Upstate is 1-11 following a 5-2 loss at Troy on Monday. The Spartans won the doubles point thanks to a 6-4 win by Carol Sigaki and Vale Zarama at No. 1 doubles and a win by the same score at No. 2 doubles by Filippa Ericson and Eduarda Ferreira. Ericson was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 3 singles.
South Alabama is 10-4 following a 4-1 win over Southern Miss on Saturday. The Jaguars won the lone meeting between the schools in 2013.
Upstate will play its next two matches at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex. The Spartans welcome Western Carolina on March 15 at 3 p.m. and UNCG on March 18 at 1 p.m.
