
Spartans Shut Out by Gardner-Webb

Boiling Springs, N.C. – Samuelle Grove's goal in the 18th minute gave the Gardner-Webb women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over USC Upstate in non-conference action at Greene-Harbison Stadium on Monday night.
Gardner-Webb improves to 2-7-0 while Upstate falls to 4-5-0.
Stats of the Match
- Gardner-Webb outshot Upstate 20-8 and enjoyed a 7-4 edge in shots on goal.
- Kate Winegarner and Abbie Ellis each took three shots for Upstate. Emelie Valenciano and Isabella Burns took one shot each.
- Stina Kleppe attempted a match-high five shots for Gardner-Webb. Kayla Curatolo took four shots.
- The Runnin' Bulldogs had three corner kick attempts while Upstate had two.
