
12 Spartans Named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate softball team had 12 players named Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association recently announced.
The 12 players who received the recognition consist of seven former players and five current student-athletes. The five current players are Christina Biggerstaff, Brittany Case, Elisa Cecchetti, Makenna Helton and Erin Hill.
USC Upstate was also recognized as a 2017-18 Easton/NFCA Academic Team after compiling a team grade-point average of 3.296.
The 12 Spartans were part of 6,280 student-athletes from across the country to earn Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete honors last season. This marks the third straight year that USC Upstate has had 10 or more representatives.
