Spartans Falter against Clemson

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's tennis team fell 7-0 to Clemson on Sunday afternoon at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
The Spartans got off to a bit of a rough start in doubles action as they fell on both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles courts by a final score of 6-1. USC Upstate hung with Clemson for a little while in the opening sets but the Tigers appeared to be too tough as the Spartans fell in straight sets on every court.
UP next for the Spartans
USC Upstate will be back at home this coming Wednesday against UNC Asheville. The match will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be the home Big South opener for the Spartans.
