Allie Hamsher Records Program's 15th Triple-Double as Volleyball Drops Rematch with Winthrop

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Tallying her first career double-digit kill match Saturday afternoon against Winthrop, senior setter/right-side hitter Allie Hamsher accomplished a feat for USC Upstate volleyball that the program hadn't seen since 2017.

Finishing the match with 10 kills, 13 assists, and 12 digs Saturday, Hamsher became the third Spartan to record a triple-double, recording the 15th in program history. She's the first Spartan since Madison Haake on November 5, 2017, to record a triple-double as she joins Haake and Sara Henrichs in exclusive company.

Leading to her career-best 10 kills, Hamsher posted a .292 hitting efficiency, committing just three errors on a career-high 24 swings. Over the last three matches, she's tallied a hitting percentage of .429, collecting 22 kills with four errors on 42 attempts.

Senior outside hitters Breeana Gamueda and Kelly Wiedemann finished behind Hamsher in the box score, adding six kills apiece with junior right-side hitter Briana Strobert chipping in five terminations.

Adding 14 and 13 digs, respectively, Gamueda and senior libero Mackenzie Marcum joined Hamsher with double-digit digs with Saturday's match marking the fourth time in the past five matches with three or more players tallying 10 or more digs.

In service, three Spartans landed an ace as all three extended service ace streaks. Senior middle blocker Alexis Mareko extended her streak of matches with an ace to 12 while Wiedemann extends her streak to seven matches and sophomore setter Emma McElveen's streak extends to six.
