Yord-In Wins Lady Bison Bay Point Classic

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Due to inclement weather in the Florida panhandle the final round of the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic was canceled, USC Upstate freshman Suwarin Yord-In (Bangkok, Thailand) won the tournament with a total score of 150.
As a whole the Spartans picked-up right where they left off with a top-three finish in the tournament. USC Upstate posted a 319 in the opening round and then shaved 13-strokes off their score in the second round, to card a 306.
Praew Nontarux (Lampang, Thailand) finished in seventh place with a total score of 153, Beem Pabsimma (Bangkok, Thailand) finished 15th with a total score of 157. Abigayle Hatcher (Roebuck, S.C.) rounded out the top-25 with a 24th place finish in the 36-hole tournament. Pan Paksanont (Nonthaburi, Thailand) and Kathryn Elliott (Coats, N.C.) both finished tied for 31st in the tournament.

The USC Upstate women's golf team will have a little bit of time off before they head to Kiawah Island, S.C., for the Kiawah Island Invitational on February 28th.
