Thank you, Spartans! Sparty's Ball sets records in support of Upstate student-athletes

The Upstate Athletics Fund wishes to thank the nearly 250 patrons who attended Sparty's Ball, Saturday night (May 18, 2024) and the more than 150 additional supporters who generously gave to the event through the online silent auction.
Â
This year's event, moved to downtown Spartanburg's Indigo Hall, was the first for Sparty's Ball to be held off-campus in many years. The new setting created tremendous energy that led to tickets and tables being sold out in advance and, importantly, a record-breaking fundraising total for the department!
Â
"I am truly grateful to everyone throughout the Spartan Army for believing in a new vision for this event and showing up in record numbers to create just a terrific atmosphere Saturday night," said vice chancellor and director of athletics Matt Martin. "To compete for championships, it's important for all of us to continue to innovate and elevate and Saturday night we accomplished a large portion of our goal in year one."
