SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Learic Davis is continuing his academic and athletic career with the Basketball program for the 2025-26 program, announced by head coach
Marty Richter. Davis comes to Upstate after recently spending two seasons at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Davis was prep-athlete at Bradley Tech in Milwaukee and was a two-time First Team All-Conference player. Learic Davis averaged 22.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 1.2 blocks per game as a senior in 2021-22, which helped his team win the first City Conference title for the first time since 2005. Learic Davis comes to Upstate after averaging 2.5ppg and 1.1 rebounds per game in his two seasons at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee while adding 78 percent clip from the charity stripe.
Richter mentioned, "Learic has great positional size and athleticism. He adds a significant presence and great value on the defensive end of the floor. Offensively, Learic will fill the lane and finish above the rim. He is very effective in transition with precision cutting skills and the ability to drive the ball to the hoop."
Learic Davis will bring a hustle first mentality that can spread the floor being listed 6'7 as a guard. Davis does not mind getting the passing lane forcing steals and can serve as an extra rim protector.
