SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Opening the new week, Upstate Men's Soccer returns to the County University Soccer stadium for the first time since September 1st where the Spartans hosted UAB. Upstate will take on Wofford College for the first time since October 24, 2023, with new coaches at the helm for both teams.

Players to Watch
Upstate: Sophomore Goalkeeper, Jarrett Wuerslin added his new season-high in the Saturday match with nine saves against Elon. Wuerslin has improved his save percentage from .625 to .718 followed by his goals against average of 2.00 to 1.85. Wuerslin is currently 1-4-1 in goal and will look to gain his second win of the season.
Wofford: Senior Forward, Nathan Simes leads the Terriers with four goals scored in where he had a brace in two different matches in wins against Coastal Carolina and Longwood. Simes also leads with 10 shots total and 10 points. The Spartans will look to regroup and slow down the offense of Simes as he looks to continue to lead the Terriers to glory.

Following the home match, the Spartans will continue their homestand renewing another rivalry with the Ingles I-26 Rivalry opening Big South play against UNC Asheville, Saturday September 20th with a kickoff time at 7:00 P.M. Eastern time.
