Men’s Basketball announces Alessandro Perotti to the 2026-27 Signing Class

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Head Coach, Marty Richter announced Alessandro Perotti to the 2026-27 signing class ahead of the new campaign. Perotti transfers crosstown from Wofford College where he looks to make the most of his senior season with the Spartan Army.
Perotti provides a post presence standing at 6'10 where his basketball background extends to being born in Biella, Italy and seeing success with Luiss Roma leading his team to a championship during the 2022-23 season where he averaged 4.6 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game. Perotti followed by averaging 17.5 points during the 2024-25 season with Cuesta College (Calif.) while adding 10.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.3 blocks a game showcasing his two-way presence. His production that season led to him being named All-Western State Conference First Team. Perotti's experience extends to competing on the National Team at the U15, U16, and U17 levels.
Head Coach, Marty Richter expressed his excitement for the addition of Perotti and the experience he provides mentioning, "Alessandro brings a wealth of experience from international basketball, having played in Italy where he grew up. We look forward to working with him and helping him to make the most of his senior season here in Spartanburg."
Alessandro Perotti will provide much depth in the frontcourt and display his two-way in front of Spartan Army with a program that has proven to produce talented post players in the Marty Richter system. As he begins his new journey this summer, he will look forward to the next step in his career.
