USC Upstate Athletics to Host Women’s Flag Football Showcase in Partnership with Carolina Panthers and USA Football

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — USC Upstate Athletics, in partnership with the Carolina Panthers and USA Football, will host a Women's Flag Football Showcase for high school girls on Thursday, June 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at County University Stadium on the campus of USC Upstate.

The free showcase is open to all female student-athletes entering grades 9-12 and is designed to introduce participants to one of the nation's fastest-growing sports while also providing exposure to collegiate-level coaching and competition.

Earlier this year, USC Upstate announced the addition of women's flag football as an official varsity sport beginning in the 2026-27 academic year, becoming part of the rapidly expanding movement of collegiate women's flag football across the country.

USC Upstate Head Flag Football Coach Noah Harris will lead the showcase and evaluate prospective student-athletes throughout the event. Participants will take part in a dynamic warm-up session, individual and group drills, and competitive 5-on-5 scrimmages.

"We're excited to partner with the Carolina Panthers and USA Football to provide this opportunity for young women throughout the region," said Harris. "Flag football is growing at an incredible pace, and this showcase is a great way for student-athletes to experience the game, develop their skills, and learn more about future opportunities at the collegiate level."

The showcase is completely free of charge, and no prior flag football experience is required. Space is limited to 150 participants, and all registered athletes will receive a complimentary event t-shirt.
