Liz-Amanda Brown enters her first season as an assistant coach at USC Upstate for the 2025 season.

Brown joins the Spartans from South Carolina State, formerly serving as the head coach since 2022.  Her responsibilities with the Bulldogs included designing training sessions to enhance player skills, scheduling games, and coordinating recruiting visits.

A former student-athlete at Charleston Southern University from 2014 to 2016, Brown ranked first in the Big South for saves per game and was a three-time Defensive Player of the Week honoree. She also received the Wingate by Wyndham Student-Athlete of the Week award, ranking fourth in the conference for goals against average. Brown was a 2014 Nike Classic All-Tournament Team member and left her junior year to pursue a professional playing career.

Playing both semi-professionally and professionally from 2016-2021, Brown competed as a goalkeeper for numerous soccer clubs. She played for Joventut Almassora CF in Valencia, Spain from 2016-2017 and Orsomarso SC in Palmira, Colombia from 2017-2019. Returning to the United States, she played for FC Austin Elite in the summer of 2019. Brown then traveled to Portugal, playing for GDC A-Dos Francos from 2019-2020 and Länk FC Vilaverdense from 2020-2021, winning the championship for the north region of Portugal.

A native of Parkland, Florida, Brown earned her Bachelor’s of Marketing from Florida Atlantic University in 2023, and has her United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Level 2 diploma.
