Sports Performance Graduate Assistant (MSOC, VB, WSOC Secondary, T&F/XC Secondary)

Kyle Napier joined the Upstate sports performance staff as a graduate assistant in August of 2024 after obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Master of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Sport Coaching, Leadership, Administration while at Michigan State University. He is assisting with Woman’s Soccer, Track and Field, and Cross Country.

Prior to USC Upstate, Napier worked as a part time Sport performance coach at GVN Performance from May 2023 until May 2024. During his time at GVN Performance, he assisted with USA Hockey NTDP U18 & U17 teams as well as Multiple Detroit Compuware U18, U15, U14, U13, U12, U11, U10, U9 Hockey Teams. While At GVN Performance, he personally trained youth hockey athletes of various local teams.

Napier began his career at Michigan State University where he was an intern for a year and a half working with Baseball, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Men’s Soccer, Woman’s Soccer, Softball, Track and Field, & Volleyball. During this time at Michigan State University, he was a member of the Co-Ed Cheerleading team and could be seen throughout the community at football, men’s or woman’s basketball, or volleyball games as well as various events on and around campus.

Napier is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Poliquin International Certification Program (PICP) Level 1 & 2.
