Veronica Kolb joined the USC Upstate sports medicine staff in 2026 after spending the previous year as a resident athletic trainer with Wofford through the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.
During her residency, Kolb independently provided care and coverage for Wofford’s women’s soccer and men’s and women’s tennis programs. Her responsibilities included evaluating and treating injuries, communicating practice plans with coaches and strength and conditioning staff, conducting pre-participation physicals and organizing student-athlete medical documentation.
Kolb previously gained clinical experience with Wofford’s men’s lacrosse program and several programs at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, including football, women’s soccer, women’s gymnastics, and men’s and women’s track and field. She also completed a clinical rotation at La Crosse Central High School and assisted with medical coverage at the WIAA State Track and Field Championships and NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
A native of Hudson, Wisconsin, Kolb earned her Master of Athletic Training and Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Wisconsin-La Crosse. She also holds a minor in art.
Kolb is a Board of Certification-certified athletic trainer and holds certifications in basic life support, CPR and AED.
