
Spartan Basketball Presents Holiday Hoops

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate Athletic Department is proud to present the 2007 Holiday Hoops event in the Hodge Center Lobby before the Spartan men's basketball team opens its home slate against Brevard at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. Holiday Hoops, which will feature Santa Claus, hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, will start at 5 p.m. and run until halftime of the men's game. The first 1,000 people to enter the Hodge Center will get a free basketball schedule poster and if you bring a canned good, admission to the game is just $1.
Holiday Hoops will feature pictures with Santa and a gingerbread house display for kids, as well as Holiday music, hot chocolate, cookies and basketball action for the whole family. The USC Upstate bookstore will be on hand, selling Spartan gear, the perfect gift for anyone on your holiday list, along with Berbank & Co., who will be selling pewter gifts. USC Upstate bricks will also be for sale, a great gift for Spartan fans.
Regular prices for USC Upstate basketball games are $8 for reserved seats, $5 for bleacher seats, $3 for students. Children under the age of 10 are admitted free.
All donations of canned goods will go to benefit TOTAL Ministries on Union Street in Spartanburg, S.C.
