Spartans Fall 7-0 To No. 39 ETSU

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The USC Upstate men's tennis team fell to No. 39 ETSU on Wednesday at the ETSU Tennis Courts in Atlantic Sun Conference action. The Spartans fall to 14-6 overall and 7-2 in the A-Sun and the Bucs will finish their A-Sun season as the conference champions with a 20-3 overall mark and 10-0 conference slate.
The Bucs won the doubles point with two wins. The third match was halted with senior Sandy Franz (Duesseldorf, Germany/Berufskolleg Hilden) and sophomore Jack Roux (Santiago, Chile/Subercaseaux) leading Picardo and Isaza, 5-4. The Bucs were able to win all six singles matches in straight sets.
Upstate will close out its home slate in the 2008 season with a tough test as it faces Campbell on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Atlantic Sun Conference play. The Camels enter the match at 14-6 overall and 6-2 in the conference.
