SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Due to the heavy rainfall over the weekend and the projected forecast of more rain on Monday night, the USC Upstate men's tennis team's first Alumni match has been postponed. The event will try to be rescheduled at a later date.
The alumni team, made up of Upstate head coach Alessandro De Marzo, assistant coach Julio Peralta, 2008 All-A-Sun selection Sandy Franz and 2003 D-II All-American Jose Luis Reyes will get into action at the USTA National Open Division Team Championships, which will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., starting on Friday.
The men's tennis team will get a rare fall weekend off before heading to Tulsa, Okla., for the D'Novo/ITA All-American Championships, starting with pre-qualifying play on Oct. 2.
