Spartans to Host Lipscomb, Belmont in Final Home Matches of 2011

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The USC Upstate men's tennis team looks to continue its win streak as the Spartans host Lipscomb (Friday) and Belmont (Saturday) in the final home matches of the 2011 season.
Last weekend the Spartans claimed a pair of victories in the state of Georgia as they downed Mercer (5-2) on Mar. 25 and Kennesaw State (4-1) on Mar. 27.
Saturday will be senior day for the Spartans and the squad will honor outgoing seniors Marco Linconir and Ignacio Velez prior to the match against the Bruins.
Spartan Volleys…
• After falling to 2-2 in the A-Sun, the Spartans have won three consecutive matches and the team is currently tied for third with next week's opponent, Campbell.
• With last weekend's A-Sun sweep, the Spartans are now 17-1 in A-Sun road matches.
• Matias Di Pasquale has won five matches this season when he drops the first set.
