Men's Basketball Media Guide Released for 2012-13 Season

2012-13 Men's Basketball Media Guide
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – With the USC Upstate men's basketball season just seven days away, the Upstate media relations office has released the 2012-13 media guide, featuring photos, bios, statistics and inside information for the upcoming season.
The Spartans are slated to open the 2012-13 campaign on the road, traveling to Saint Louis University to take on the Billikens next Friday, a team receiving votes in the AP Top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll.
Upstate will then return home for the program's only home game in the month of November, welcoming Hiwassee to town Monday, Nov. 12 with a 7 p.m. tip-off inside the Hodge Center.
Head Coach Eddie Payne will lead the Spartans on the road in nine of its first 11 games this season, including matchups at UNC Asheville (Nov. 29), Kansas State (Dec. 2), and Baylor (Dec. 17), all teams that made appearances in the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
With a new agreement reached with ESPN Radio in Spartanburg, fans can now follow the Spartans on the road all season long on 97.1 FM, 1400 AM and online at espnspartanburg.com.
In total, ESPN Spartanburg will broadcast 29 of Upstate's 31 regular season games, beginning with the Nov. 9 season opener at Saint Louis. In addition, ESPN Spartanburg will serve as the radio home for Upstate in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament and any other postseason games.
