Lauren Bogle Named A-Sun Newcomer of the Week

Macon, Ga. – USC Upstate junior guard Lauren Bogle has been selected as the Atlantic Sun Conference's Newcomer of the Week for her performance in the Spartans 65-61 loss at Virginia Tech, it was announced today by the league.
Bogle had a career day on Sunday against the Hokies as she set new career-highs in points, rebounds, steals and field goals. The transfer from Lake Land College led the Spartans offensively with 13 points while grabbing six rebounds. She added four steals to her effort along with two assists in 29 minutes of action.
This season, Bogle has appeared in all 10 games for Upstate and started in two of them. She is averaging 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
The Spartans wrap up their five-game road trip on Saturday, Dec. 21 when they travel to Greenville to face the Furman Paladins at 2 p.m.
