
Selander, Simonetti to Compete at ITA Carolina Regional

Spartanburg, S.C. – Viktor Selander and Ramon Simonetti will compete amongst the top players from the states of North Carolina and South Carolina this weekend at the USTA/ITA Carolina Regional Championships from the Cary Tennis Park.
In the USTA/ITA Division I Regional Championships, NCAA Division I men and women face off with singles and doubles champions from each of the twelve regions advancing into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, held Nov. 6-9 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
Selander opens play first for Upstate and will matchup with No. 13 seed Robbie Mudge of NC State Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Simonetti will follow at 10:30 a.m. with a match against No. 16 seed Jack Murray of North Carolina.
Simonetti and Selander will also compete as doubles partners and will face Fernando Sala and Daffra Sanon of Clemson Friday at 11:30 a.m.
