Upstate head coach Todd Lawton will send the lineup of Danny Brock, Ryan Cornfield, Adam Goins, Sebastian Lopez Bulla and Taylor White into action this week. The lineup began the season strong by winning the Springhill Suites Intercollegiate and the Rutgers Invitational. Cornfield, Goins, Lopez Bulla and White have played in all nine events for the Spartans, while Brock has seen action in six events. Cornfield, Goins and White have combined for six Top 5 and 12 Top 10 individual finishes this season. Upstate is averaging 293.0 per round for the season.
"This has been an exciting year and one that will be remembered for many accomplishments," said Lawton. "Tournament wins, individual averages and our highest NCAA ranking in program history are all things that have made this year special. We need to play our best this week. Our guys know they can play and are excited to tee it up against the teams among the NCAA's best. Opportunity is what we have sought this year and the A-Sun Championship is a fantastic venue to do good things."
Upstate is making its sixth appearance in the A-Sun Championship and looks to improve on its program-best finish of sixth place achieved in 2010 and 2011. Upstate has also placed seventh on three occasions and has not finished below seventh in the history of playing in the event.
