Culler Finishes Tied for 14th Place at F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

Clarksville, Tenn. – The USC Upstate women's golf team finished in sixth place at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate following a final day 339 to wrap up play at the two-day tournament from the Clarksville Country Club.
Upstate ended the tournament with a two-day score of 662 (323-329) led by Payton Culler who finished in a tie for 14th place with her total score of 158. Culler carded a final round 80 on Tuesday and posted her top individual performance this season. She had the second-best mark on par-5 scoring with a 1-under tally.
Sidney Dermody posted the second-best finish for the Spartans after turning in a second round score of 88 to complete tournament play in 31st place with a 166.
Malika Allie finished just three spots behind Dermody in 34th position. Allie tallied a two-round score of 168 after turning in an 86 on the final day.
Allea Hawkins and Allie Gennaula concluded the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate for Upstate as Hawkins tied for 38th place while Gennaula placed 48th. Hawkins had an overall score of 170 and Gennaula a 191.
Host Austin Peay State captured the team championship with a total score of 619, defeating Lipscomb by six strokes. APSU's Jessica Cathey took home medalist honors with a 145 score.
The Spartans remain in Spartanburg Oct. 19-20 for the Terrier Intercollegiate hosted by Wofford at the Country Club of Spartanburg.
