
Spartans Finish Play at Davidson Invitational

Davidson, N.C. – The USC Upstate men's tennis team took part in the Davidson Invitational over the weekend and registered four singles victories and three doubles wins to highlight competition.
Upstate senior Ramon Simonetti turned in a 6-0, 6-4 singles victory over Vikram Hundal of Charlotte and was a 7-5 winner over Hundal and Carl Solik in doubles action playing alongside sophomore Ignacio Garrido.
Felix Ewers downed Oriol Puig of Charlotte 6-4, 6-4 and registered a 6-1 win over Puig and Alejandro Garcia Moreno with teammate Matt Bennion.
Rajanvir Dharni posted a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Sam Brazil of Charlotte, and Lenhard Haupt defeated Alexander Jones 6-1, 6-0 of Charlotte to round out singles competition for Upstate. Dharni and Haupt also earned a 6-4 doubles win over Jones and Francis Pare.
Upstate returns to action Oct. 2-4 when the Spartans travel to Elon, N.C., to compete in the Elon Invitational.
