Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate cross country teams took advantage of a cool morning on Saturday as they set several personal bests at the Upstate Invite held at the Milliken Research Center.
The Upstate men's team finished in third place while the Upstate women scored an eighth place finish.
"We had several strong performances today," head coach Carson Blackwelder said. "We had personal best times on both teams. "
Noteworthy
- Theodore Kountourogiannis led the Upstate men with a 11th place finish in a personal-best 25:53.42.
- Dorian Jones and Alex Love each recorded season-best times as they finished in 17th and 19th.
- Leah Jostes and Alicia Chavez each finished with personal-bests as they finished under the 20 minute mark.
- FGCU was the team winner for the men while Lipscomb claimed the women's race.
- FGCU's Luka Ndungu won the men's race while Kidan Kidane of Kennesaw State won the women's race.
