
Spartans Return Home for Weekend ASUN Matches

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate women's soccer team returns to County University Soccer Stadium this weekend for a pair of ASUN matches. The Spartans will open the weekend on Friday against Jacksonville at 7 p.m. before a 1 p.m. Sunday contest against North Florida.
Upstate is 0-11-2 following a 4-0 loss at Florida Gulf Coast on Friday and a 2-0 defeat at Stetson on Sunday.
Brooke Bailey leads the NCAA with 93 saves and is 12th in saves per game. Bailey is also among the top 20 in goalie minutes played.
Jacksonville is 3-8-0 and 1-2-0 in the ASUN after losing at home to Lipscomb and Kennesaw State last weekend. Joelle D'Entremont leads the Dolphins with three goals and nine points. The Dolphins lead the all-time series 8-1-0 with the lone win by the Spartans coming in Spartanburg in 2013.
North Florida enters the weekend with a 4-6-2 overall record and 0-3-0 mark in league play. The Ospreys will face NJIT on Friday afternoon before traveling to Spartanburg. Alexis Bredeau leads the team with five goals and 12 points. North Florida leads the all-time series 11-4-2. The teams battled to a 0-0 tie in Spartanburg last season.

The Spartans travel to Lipscomb next Saturday for their final road game of the season. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Eastern.
