
Upstate Heads to Creighton on Wednesday for Final Non-Conference Road Game

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's basketball team is slated to play its final non-conference road game of the season on Wednesday evening when it travels to Omaha, Neb. for a 9 p.m. EST matchup against the 25th-ranked Creighton Bluejays at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
After spending nearly a month on the road, Upstate returned to the G.B. Hodge Center on Monday morning and defeated Coastal Georgia 83-75 on Education Day. The Spartans finished the game shooting a season-best 55.8 percent from the field and posted a 43.5 percent clip behind the 3-point line.
Deion Holmes scored a season-high 25 points to lead Upstate offensively while Malik Moore added his second career double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Holmes recorded the 40th game of his career scoring in double-figures and 13th with at least 20 points. Ramel Thompkins added 13 points while Jure Span contributed 12.
Creighton enters the contest with a 9-2 overall record after defeating UT Arlington 90-81 on Monday. Marcus Foster leads the Bluejays offensively with 19.8 points per game while Khyri Thomas contributes 15.7 and Martin Krampelj 12.0. Krampelj averages a team-leading 7.9 rebounds per game. Creighton is under the direction of eighth-year head coach Greg McDermott.
The Spartans and Bluejays are meeting for the first time in program history.
