Upstate Opens Play at Boston College Intercollegiate

Canton, Mass. – Pan Paksanont carded an opening day 153 on Sunday and currently sits in a tie for 24^th place to lead the USC Upstate women's golf team after two rounds of the Boston College Intercollegiate from the par 72, 6,137-yard Blue Hill Country Club.

Upstate posted rounds of 312-310 and is tied for 11^th place with Fairleigh Dickinson at 622. The Spartans enter the final day of competition one stroke back of Wofford in tenth place and three behind ninth place Illinois State.

Richmond leads the Boston College Intercollegiate after day one by four strokes over Georgetown at 592. Individually, Elon's Heather Munro and Bibilani Liu sit atop the leaderboard with an even-par 144.

A LOOK AT THE SCORECARD

Upstate posted individual scores in the 70's for seven of its ten rounds led by a second round 75 from Paksanont.
Paksanont compiled rounds of 78 and 75 to lead the Spartans after day one.
Payton Culler, Anna Chanthaphaeng, Brooke Hutto and Sidney Dermody also had rounds in the 70's.
Playing in her first tournament at Upstate, Hutto is tied for 62^nd place with a two-round 160 (82-78).
The Spartans tallied a 3.25 stroke average in par 3 scoring, 4.46 on par 4 holes and 5.28 in par 5 scoring.
Upstate recorded a total of 97 pars and 15 birdies on Sunday.
Culler led the Spartans in par 5 scoring after concluding the day at 1-under with a 4.88 stroke average to go with 21 pars.
Chanthaphaeng contributed a 3.13 stroke average in par 3 scoring and 4.30 in par 4 scoring.
