Spartans Post Slew of Season Best Times at Upstate Invitational

Spartanburg, S.C. – The USC Upstate men's and women's cross country teams saw a number of season and personal best times at the Upstate Invitational held at the Milliken Research Center on Saturday morning.
The men's team finished in fourth place while the women's team scored a ninth place finish.
Noteworthy
- Every member of the women's team finished with a season best and five student-athletes turned in a new personal best.
- Marcy Bradshaw led Upstate with a 42nd place finish with a personal best time of 19:11.70.
- In addition to Bradshaw, Krysta Pierstorff and Shamia Thompson finished under the 20-minute bracket for the first time this season.
- Dorian Jones was the top men's finisher as he crossed the line in 16th place with a time of 25:51.20. This is his first sub-26 minute time of the year.
- Six members of the men's team finished with season best times with two new personal bests.
- Bradshaw and Jones led the Spartans for the third consecutive meet.
- Appalachian State and East Tennessee State tied in the women's race, with ETSU claiming the crown on a tiebreaker. East Tennessee State also won the men's race.
