Dermody Leads USC Upstate after First Day of Amelia Island Collegiate

Fernandina Beach, Fla. – Sidney Dermody compiled rounds of 76 and 75 to lead the USC Upstate women's golf team after day one action on Monday at the Amelia Island Collegiate from the par 72, 6029-yard Amelia National Golf Club.

As a team, the Spartans posted rounds of 312 and 309 to sit in 12^th place of the team standings.

Daytona State leads the Amelia Island Collegiate after two rounds by three strokes over Campbell at 579. Campbell's Ayelen Irizar sits atop the individual leaderboard by one stroke at 4-under par 140.

A LOOK AT THE SCORECARD

USC Upstate finished the first two rounds with a 3.48 stroke average in par 3 scoring, 4.34 stroke average in par 4 scoring and 5.38 stroke average in par 5 scoring.
The Spartans also compiled 98 pars and 17 birdies.
Dermody is the top individual performer for USC Upstate after her steady play and finish put her in a tie for 23^rd place at 151.
Pan Paksanont and Payton Culler are tied for 44^th as both carded two-round scores of 156. Paksanont had rounds of 78 while Culler contributed 81 and 75.
Anna Chanthaphaeng is tied for 54^th at 158 (77-81) and Brooke Hutto 76^th at 167 (82-85).
Culler finished her opening two rounds with a 2-over par score on par 4 and par 5 holes.
Culler leads the Spartans in par 4 scoring (4.10 stroke average), par 5 scoring (5.00 stroke average) and six birdies.
Dermody had a team-best 1-under par score and 2.88 stroke average in par 3 scoring and is tied for fourth among the tournament field.
Dermody also leads the team with 22 pars and is tied with Chanthaphaeng in birdies at four.
Chanthaphaeng is right behind Dermody in par 3 scoring at even-par with a 3.00 stroke average.
Paksanont contributed a team-leading 23 pars on Monday.
Hutto collected two birdies and Paksanont one.
