How It Happened
- 9' – Looking for Upstate's first breakaway opportunity, sophomore midfielder Reagan Meyer attempted to play a long ball down the sideline for freshman forward Katherine Cunningham, but the pass was thwarted by Wofford's Alexis Mapplebeck who earned a booking after intentionally deterring the pass via a handball.
- 34' – Off a give and go from Meyer, sophomore defender Martina Cordova Ulloa delivered a pass to the top of the 18-yard box at the feet of freshman forward Rachel Satchell. Satchell worked her way to the middle of the field, firing a shot towards the right post where Terrier keeper Maria Mon made a diving save to keep Upstate off the board.
- 34' – Laying off a corner kick, Wofford's Addie Marlett delivered a cross into the 6-yard box, finding McKenzie Guest who found an opening between the Upstate's defense and keeper to net the Terrier's lone goal.
- 69' – Creating a breakaway by beating a Wofford defender to a loose ball, Finn had a one-on-one opportunity with Terrier keeper Caroline Doss who had made her way into the 18-yard box, getting a piece of Finn's offering and sending the shot just wide.
- 76' – Slipping past three Terrier defenders, Satchell got a quality look at goal, firing a shot across the goal face that missed just wide. Her hustle continued a flurry of shot attempts for the Spartans, earning a free ball that led to an opportunity for freshman midfielder Nora Vangsnes before Doss made a nice recovery to get a piece of the shot and send it wide by mere inches. Upstate continued the pressure earning three successive corner kicks before Wofford's clearance.
