CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Following her exceptional home performance against Western Carolina on Friday, redshirt freshman, Zora Fray-Chinn earned her first Big South honors as the conference announced her the Big South Freshman of the Week on Monday afternoon. Fray-Chinn collects the first Big South honors of the 22-23 season as well as the first Big South honors under the direction of head coach Jason Williams. 

Fray-Chinn has appeared in three out of four of the Spartans' contests this season, including the game against West Virginia, with her most recent appearance being against WCU. Against the Catamounts, Fray-Chinn had a game filled with career-highs and even a career-first. She helped lead the Spartans as she posted double-figures (12) while sinking 66% of her three-point attempts. Not only did she score with accuracy, but Fray-Chinn was the only Spartan to score a three-pointer against WCU. Fray-Chinn set a new career high with her scoring while also setting a new career-high in rebounds (7) and earning her first ever block. She finished the night with two blocks and two steals.
