Beem Pabsimma Ties for 12th as Women' Golf Improves Scores From Round to Round at the River Landing Classic

WALLACE, N.C. – Facing a stacked tournament field that featured five teams ranked in the top-100 of the GolfStat rankings, USC Upstate women's golf saw its scores improve from round to round as the River Landing Classic came to a close Tuesday.
As a team, the Spartans posted scores of 306-299-295-900 as the group shaved an average of 5.5 strokes from its team total with each passing round. The team's final-round 295 marked Upstate's lowest round since a final-round 297 at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic with the Spartans' two sub-300 rounds making the River Landing Classic the first event to feature two such rounds since the Wofford Invitational.
Leading Upstate, redshirt junior Beem Pabsimma finished strokes shy of a top-10 finish, tying for 12th behind scores of 77-71-71-219. Posting 71's in both the second and third rounds, her rounds marked the lone two rounds below par by a Spartan golfer at the event.

- Posting a pair of sub-300 rounds at the River Landing Classic, the event marked the first since the Wofford Invitational (Oct. 25-26, 2021) to feature two such rounds by the Spartans. Overall, the rounds are the ninth and 10th sub-300 rounds for Upstate this season.
- As a team, Upstate finished sixth in the tournament field in both Par-3 Scoring (+11; 3.18) and total birdies (34).
- Leading to her top-15 placement, Beem Pabsimma tied for eighth in the River Landing Classic field in Par-4 Scoring (+2; 4.07) and tied for 10th in Par-3 Scoring (E; 3.00).
- Preaw Nontarux and Kathryn Elliott also ranked top-10 in the tournament field in a statistical category as Nontarux tied for third in Par-3 Scoring (-1; 2.92) and Elliott tied for 8th in Par-5 Scoring (-3; 4.75).
