Beem Pabsimma Claims Medalist Honors as Women's Golf Captures Third-Place Finish at the Husky Invitational

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Entering the Husky Invitational looking for the team's seventh top-6 finish of the season, USC Upstate women's golf accomplished this goal and then some as the Spartans tallied their fourth top-three placement of the year and redshirt junior Beem Pabsimma shared medalist honors as the event came to a close Tuesday.
As a team, the Spartans featured among the top teams at the Husky Invitational throughout play in all three rounds, claiming a third-place finish. Upstate fashioned scores of 305-311-309 while falling no lower than third following any of the event's three rounds.
Earning her top-placement of the season and her third career event victory, Pabsimma turned in marks of 75-74-74-223. Her finish on the leaderboard marked her third top-three finish and fifth top-10 placement of the season.
Redshirt sophomore Preaw Nontarux joined Pabsimma among the top-10 finishers at the event, placing sixth after carding scores of 72-73-81-226. Rounding out a trio of top-25 finishers, sophomore Suwarin Yord-in tied for 22nd behind marks of 79-78-77-234.

- Leading her to claim the tournament's medalist honors, Beem Pabsimma finished top-10 in the field in Par-4 scoring, Par-5 scoring, and total birdies, finishing first, tied for seventh, and tied for fourth, respectively.
- Joining Pabsimma in the top-10 at the event in three statistical categories, Preaw Nontarux tied for fourth in Par-4 scoring and Par-5 scoring while leading the field in total birdies with 11.
