Continuing to build upon the team's momentum from the fall slate, USC Upstate women's golf posted another strong finish, this time at the Sea Best Intercollegiate, as the team claimed its second medalist in as many stroke play events as Preaw Nontarux won her second event of the season.
After earning her second career win—her second in as many stroke play events, Nontarux earned her third career Big South Golfer of the Week honor. She carded marks of 75-73-67-215 at the event, closing the tournament eight-under par over her final 47 holes, including a tournament-low 67 over the final 18 holes.
She was joined in the top-15 at the Sea Best Intercollegiate by Beem Pabsimma and Suwarin Yord-in as the trio made Upstate one of two teams in the event to feature three golfers in the top-15. Pabsimma finished third behind scores of 73-73-70-216 while Yord-in fashioned totals of 75-76-73-224, tying for 12th.
Returning to the course, the Spartans begin the three-day Rivertowne Invitational Sunday with the tournament running until Tuesday. The event features 18 holes each day and tees off from Rivertowne Country Club in Mount Pleasant, S.C.
