Women's Golf Sees Three Top-25 Finishers for the Fourth Straight Stroke Play Event as Play Closes at the Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Competing west of the Mississippi for the first time this season, USC Upstate women's golf saw three top-25 finishers for the fourth consecutive stroke play event as play concluded Tuesday at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

The trio of redshirt senior Beem Pabsimma, redshirt junior Preaw Nontarux, and junior Suwarin Yord-in continued their hot stretch as each recorded a top-25 individual finish for the fourth consecutive stroke play event to lead the Spartans. Pabsimma paced the group as she tied for 15^th, carding scores of 69-75-77-221 with her opening-round 69 standing as the lowest individual round for a Spartan at the event.

Nontarux tied for 20^th on the final leaderboard as she fashioned marks of 72-72-78-222 while Yord-in tied for 23^rd after turning in totals of 77-74-72-223. Rounding out the Spartan order were redshirt junior Ashley Looper and sophomore Elin Wahlgren who posted scores of 81-75-81-237 and 83-79-79-241, respectively.

As a team, Upstate carded scores of 299-296-306-901 and has turned in at least two sub-300 rounds in two straight events and in three events this season. The team's first and second-round scores marked the team's ninth and 10^th sub-300 rounds of the year. The Spartans concluded the event with an eighth-place finish, the team's fifth top-10 of the season.

As a team, Upstate ranked top five in the Jackrabbit Invitational field in three statistical categories. The Spartans ranked second in the field in Par-3 Scoring (3.12; +7), fourth in Par-5 Scoring (5.08; +5), and tied for fifth in total pars (164).
Leading to her top-15 finish, Beem Pabsimma tied for the tournament lead in Par-3 Scoring (2.83; -2).
On her way to a top-25 finish, Suwarin Yord-in tied for fourth in the event field in total pars with 39.
Leading the Spartans in birdies, Elin Wahlgren tied for 10^th in the tournament field with nine birdies.
