Suwarin Yord-in Collects Her Best Finish of the Season, Claiming Top-10 Placement at the Low Country Invitational

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Battling Mother Nature and a crowded tournament field, USC Upstate women's golf garnered another top 10 team finish as play completed at the Low Country Invitational Sunday at Moss Creek Golf Club.
Despite seeing inclement weather wash out play Saturday, the Spartans completed 36 of the 54 scheduled holes at the Low Country Invitational, completing the program's first 36-hole event since the Low Country Intercollegiate on March 13-14, 2021. The latest iteration of the event saw Upstate tie for seventh on the final leaderboard, posting scores of 321-315-636.
Leading the Spartans, junior Suwarin Yord-in claimed her best finish of the season, tying for seventh and claiming Upstate's first top-10 individual finish in two events. She carded marks of 80-73-153 for the event with her final-round 73 being the lowest for a Spartan at the event.
Claiming a top-30 finish, redshirt junior Preaw Nontarux tied for 27th in the tournament field behind scores of 79-81-160. Redshirt senior Beem Pabsimma, sophomore Elin Wahlgren, and redshirt junior Ashley Looper rounded out the lineup, finishing tied for 42nd, tied for 46th, and 79th, respectively.

- As a team, Upstate finished the Low Country Invitational ranked third in the tournament field in Par-3 Scoring (3.15; +6). Beem Pabsimma (2.88; -1) paced the Spartans as she tied for second in the field in Par-3 Scoring.
- Leading to her top-10 finish, Suwarin Yord-in (4.20; +4) tied for fifth in the event field in Par-4 Scoring.
- The Spartans also finished the tournament tied for third in total pars, carding 95 as a team. Elin Wahlgren led the Spartans with 21 pars, tying for 10th in the tournament field.
