
Spartans Finish in Florida, Looks to Golfweek Invitational

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL -- USC Upstate women's golf team concluded the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic with another solid performance. Continuing their success on the season, the Spartans were again led by a member of the "Thai Trio." Praew Nontarux led the way in the classic and finished in a tie for 22nd place. Overall, Nontarux carded a 77-78-75-230.
Teammates Supatta Puttanavarat and Suwarin Yord-in also cracked the top 35. The Spartans collectively ranked second in the tournament for birdies, totaling 28. Puttanavarat notably stood out, tying for third in the field with eight birdies of her own.
The individual title was claimed by Abilene Christian sophomore Ryann Honea, finishing the tournament at -2. Meanwhile, Harvard emerged victorious in the team category, surpassing Abilene Christian late in the day to secure the team trophy. The Crimson had a lot of success in the second and third rounds and finished with team scores of 305-293-294-892.
