Conway, S.C. – Upstate men's soccer played their second road game of the season, facing the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Despite being tied at the half, Coastal edged out Upstate for the 2-1 win.

Just three minutes into the match, Luke Halkett took the first shot, afterward, the Spartans held the Chanticleers scoreless until the 21st minute. Three minutes before halftime, Adrian Panaite took Upstate's second shot of the half. Seconds later, off the assist from Panaite, Dzenan Cerimagic tallied his first goal of the season, finding the back of the net to tie the match at 1-1. Upstate fired off three more shots in the second half, but could not find another game-tying goal to keep the match alive. Defenders Elijah Jackson and Sam ter Linde played all 90 minutes of the match-up. Goalkeeper Cooper Jennings finished the night with five saves and faced a new season-high in shots with 22.
