Spartanburg, S.C. – Back home for the fifth game of the season, Upstate men's soccer faced Liberty University for the Friday night matchup. The Spartans started the game off quickly, taking the first shot five minutes in, and finished the night with 11 shots total. Ultimately, Upstate would fall short against the Flames, dropping the contest 5-2.

Dzenan Cerimagic picked up right where he left off, scoring the first goal in tonight's game at the twelve-minute mark to give the Spartans an early lead. Upstate held Liberty scoreless until the 31st minute. Adrian Panaite capitalized on a penalty shot, putting it right past the Flames keeper. Both Cerimagic and Panaite finished the night with two shots and a shot on goal, along with Luke Halkett. Dario Stadler fired off two shots within five minutes of each other. Also tallying shots were Carlos Lopez, Pilani Alexander, and Elijah Jackson.
