RADFORD, Va. – Closing out a two-game road trip, Upstate Women's basketball traveled to Radford this afternoon for the third conference game of the season. The Spartans dropped this gritty contest 64-56.
For her third consecutive game, senior forward
Rebekah Gordon reached double-digit scoring with 12 points. Gordon grabbed eight boards and finished the day at 75% from the charity stripe.
Sophomore guard
Gracie Barnes finished the day with 11 markers and one steal, going a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line. Junior guard
Jeni Levine had her fourth game of the season in double-digit scoring with 11 points, all while dishing out four assists. She earned a new season-high in made free-throw attempts with six.
Redshirt freshman
Cassie Gallagher was the fourth Spartan in the double-digit scoring category, adding 10 points. She secured four boards and notched two assists.

How It Happened
First Quarter
- Upstate controlled the opening tip and got their first points of the game from a layup made by Gwen Jenkins. Back-to-back three-pointers by Radford gave the Highlanders an 11-4 advantage at the quarter break
Second Quarter
- Cassie Gallagher made a three-pointer off an assist from Jeni Levine to get the offense going, and three other Spartans made three-pointers of their own. Gwen Jenkins made her second layup of the game.
- Battling back, the Spartans outscored the Highlanders 20-18, making the score at halftime 29-24.
Third Quarter
Fourth Quarter
- Gracie Barnes began the scoring with an and-one layup, cutting the deficit down to five. The Spartans went on a 5-3 run in the last two minutes of play but came up short of earning the win.

- This game marks Cassie Gallagher's tenth this season scoring in double figures. Having four consecutive games with 10 or more points marks the longest stretch of her career.
